A World Leader In Quality And Originality

The story began in 1865 when 24 year old Friedrich Lürssen, having trained as a boatbuilder, set up his own workshop in Aumun, near Bremen, Germany. His first vessel, a racing rowboat, demonstrated considerable quality and originality in design. As word got out that Lürssen boats were not only beautifully designed, but also fast and successful in regattas due to their precise and lightweight construction, the order book started to grow.
