Idyllic island life in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Discover this unspoiled island chain in the heart of the Caribbean with up to 26 family and friends onboard Sherakhan. From adventurous rainforest exploration, island trekking and watersports galore to relaxing on paradise beaches and lazy hammock afternoons.
Day 01
Embark Sherakhan in the stunning St Lucia at Marigot Bay. Once you have settled in, we will cruise to Soufriere Bay for a relaxed afternoon of swimming and snorkeling. If you are feeling adventurous hiking or a four-wheel drive trek around the island is an option. St Lucia boasts unspoiled natural beauty with tropical rain forests, dramatic mountain peaks, secluded white beaches and the famous World Heritage Site of the Piton Mountains.
Day 02
We arrive early to Chateau Belair on the island of St. Vincent. Here you will have a chance to go ashore for a jungle excursion. Take in the natural waterfalls and fascinating old forts as you hike through the lush rainforest. Return to Sherakhan for a lunch of fresh barbecued seafood on the sun deck. Relax in the 18 person Jacuzzi as we take a sunset cruise to our next island stop.
Day 03
Today we will spend the entire day in the paradise island of Bequia. White sand beaches. Charming restaurants. Boutique shopping. Take a morning stroll from the marina in to town for a look at the local hand crafted wares or wander along the purpose‐built promenade that runs along the main harbor. Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary is also worth a visit. In the evening, dine ashore at the Firefly Plantation restaurant who specialise in fresh modern Caribbean cuisine using only locally sourced ingredients.
Day 04
The ambiance is decidedly quieter on the private island of Mustique. In the morning you can enjoy some fun on the water with Sherakhan’s impressive water toys. After lunch take some time to see the island. A small town near the main harbor offers a few boutiques and gourmet dining, but the manmade structures quickly give way to the islands natural beauty. Groves of palm trees alternate with stretches of manicured green grass. Spend an hour or two exploring by horseback then sip sundowners at Firefly Bar, which offers one of the best sunset views on Mustique. If the mood takes you move on to the legendary Basil’s Bar for a lively night out.
Day 05
It is a short cruise from Mustique to Canouan where we will set up anchor for the day. From here, we can explore the surrounding islands of Mayreau, Palm Island, Petit Rameau, Petite Tabac and Union Island on Sherakhan’s new 2017 tenders. Mayreau’s Saltwhistle Bay resort is an excellent example of Caribbean perfection and you have not really experienced the Grenadines until you have visited Tobago Cays. We will stop during the afternoon to do some fishing and snorkeling. Once back onboard, relax in a hammock as the chef cooks your catch of the day and enjoy the views as we cruise to Carriacou Island.
Day 06
Carriacou Island is the epitome of Caribbean life, relaxed, quiet and friendly. We will spend the entire day in its picture perfect surroundings. In the morning, take a guided tour of this small island stopping off at Belair National Park, a natural heritage site with plenty of tropical trees and fascinating historical plantation ruins. Afterwards the Sherakhan crew will set up a beach lunch and games on Paradise Beach (a beach that lives up to its name). Spend the afternoon relaxing on the sugar white sand or kayak, paddleboard or snorkel in the crystal waters. In the evening, experience one of the exciting themed banquets, for which Sherakhan is famous.
Day 07
We will cruise during the early hours to Port Egmont in Grenada so you have the full day to explore this exciting island. After breakfast, take a guided hike through the islands tropical rain forests. Stop off at St. Margaret’s Falls, a series of waterfalls that cascade into irresistible fresh‐water swimming holes. Cool off with a swim before returning to the wooded trails and their stunning views. In the afternoon, you have the option of visiting the Grenada Chocolate Company where locals bring freshly grown cocoa to the open‐air factory for processing. You can even ‘turn the beans’ by walking barefoot through them. Alternatively, enjoy an afternoon of pampering in the onboard Spa.
Day 08
We get underway at 9am to your departure destination, Port Louis Marina in St. George’s, the capital of Grenada. Upon arrival, a fresh buffet brunch will be served before disembarkation at midday.
