Papeete to Bora Bora. Explore the contrast from deep blue sea to the lush green tropical rainforest and virgin mountain peaks on a French Polynesia yacht charter. Dive into crystal clear turquoise lagoons, hike among waterfalls, seashore paths and vertiginous crests and experience authentic French Polynesian island culture and Tahitian history.
Land at Fa'a'ā International Airport (Tahiti). A car will be arranged to meet you at the airport and transfer you to Marina Taina (approximately 10 minute drive). Meet your Captain and the crew, and settle in onboard. When you feel rested, set sail to Moorea (mandatory to use pilot when leaving).
Day 01
Sail to Moorea and anchor in a designated area to spend your first day relaxing in these stunning surroundings. Take a swim in the turquoise waters. This unspoiled bay has barely changed since Captain Cook sailed here in 1774. Enjoy your first dinner onboard prepared by your dedicated Chef.
Day 02
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast onboard. If you are feeling energetic, embark on a 2 hour trek up in the mountain rainforest before a well earned lunch back on the boat. Spend the afternoon swimming with the rays and hop between beautiful beaches including Cooks Bay also on the north coast on Moorea. For evening entertainment, option to sail to Tiki Village.
Depart at midnight for an overnight cruise to Huahine.
Day 03
After an overnight cruise, arrive at Huahine with translucent blue water and warm breezes. Migrating humpback whales and dolphins may be spotted. Anchor in a designated area in Bourayne Bay or Fitii bay. Explore the coastline on the tender and stop at Avea beach. Sit back and soak up the sunshine on the beach before a beach BBQ. As the sun sets, head to one of the first-class resorts for a cocktail to finish off this spectacular day.
Day 04
Spend the day on the North coast of Huahine swimming, searching for sacred eels or venturing through the reef pass to fish blue and silver Marlin, Dorado and Tuna. Want to explore ashore? Visit a local village, go to the Pearl farm or follow the crew on a trek. Return to your yacht for sunset aperitifs and a fresh fish dinner onboard.
Day 05
Set sail early morning to sail to Raiatea which means 'faraway heaven' and is the second largest of the Society Islands. Kayak on the Faaroa River; the only navigable waterway in Polynesia through magnificent rainforest. Head ashore and discover the Botanical Garden. Or summit Mount Temehani on foot, on horseback or by 4x4. Back on the beach, the party and dancing starts from 16:00. Enjoy a BBQ prepared by your onboard Chef.
Day 06
Sail north to the island of Taha’a. Kayak or paddleboard to a powder sand beach then saunter through a vanilla plantation. Spend the afternoon in paradise. Snorkel the coral garden. Watch the sunset from your deck.
Days 07 & 08
Set sail for Bora Bora! A paradise protected by a perfect barrier reef where hibiscus and coconut palms drip down from Mount Otemanu. Arrive in the deep lagoon by lunch time and anchor in water so clear you can see the sand many feet below. Swimming here is fantastic. Take the tender to explore. For a secret Eden, kayak to the white sands along Bora Bora’s southern shores. As the sun sets, go ashore for a drink at the famous “Bloody Mary’s” bar before returning for your final dinner onboard.
Enjoy your last brunch onboard before your crew bid you farewell after an incredible charter in French Polynesia. A car will be arranged to transfer you to the airport.
