Day 01
Arrive at San José’s Juan Santamaria International airport. From here, it’s a 90 minute road transfer to Bahia Herradura, where you will take a short tender ride around to Firebird, waiting at anchor at Playa Mantas.
Day 02
After your first night on board, there’ll be a chance to hit the waves, with intermediate to advanced surfing either at nearby Playa Esconidas, which offers a right hand surf break, or Playa Hermosa’s exposed beach break.
Alternatively, a sports fishing excursion can be arranged, as can a round of golf at the nearby Los Sueños resort’s Iguana Golf Course, a professional 18 hole, par 72 golf course that was designed by Ted Robinson Jr.

This morning we’lll reposition to Ballena Bay. The options for surfing are extensive here; our options include a calm and relaxed right point break at nearby Cabuya Beach, a right-hand reef break at Esconida, a beach break at Santa Teresa, or the popular Playa Hermosa.
While anchored here, we can also arrange a Yellowfin Tuna Spearfishing experience, where you can pick out your own Tuna for dinner, led by an experienced local guide, or alternatively, a mindblowing dolphin experience, where you will have the chance to seabob along with a superpod of Dolphins.
Day 04
Repositioning to Punta Coyote,a beautiful and unspoilt spot at the southern end of Playa Coyote, today will offer another chance to get out the surfboards, tackling the left and right reef breaks here, or alternatively heading to nearby Bejuco, Nosara, or to Santa Teresa.
