Jamie Farnborough

My Story

I grew up on the South Coast of England, where my passion for sailing first took hold. I began with dinghy sailing and quickly progressed to competing at the national level. After finishing school, I followed my enthusiasm for the ocean by becoming a watersports instructor, specializing in sailing, kitesurfing, and diving. This chapter of my life took me to inspiring locations, including Barbados and Australia.

At 21, I made the decision to pursue a life at sea and transitioned into the superyacht industry. Over the past 18 years, I’ve worked my way up from Deckhand to Captain, gaining invaluable experience on board several pedigree yacht programs. My career has taken me across the globe, sailing extensively throughout Europe, the Caribbean, the Americas, the Pacific, Australasia, and Asia.

After many successful years as a Captain, including a long-standing collaboration with Y.CO, I made the transition ashore to join the Sales team. I’m passionate about life on the water and am committed to using my experience of managing both private and commercial yachts to help clients create unforgettable experiences at sea.
