A 33.8m tri-deck motor yacht with more boho chic appeal than Kate Moss, Sassa La Mare is elegance on water. Built by Cantiere Delle Marche in 2019 and enjoying naval architecture by Hydro Tech, the steel displacement explorer brings the outdoors in with sliding glass doors, organic shapes, natural textured materials and a flow of movement rarely enjoyed on a boat of this size.

Step aboard, look around, and it’s easy to see why Sassa La Mare scooped Winner of the World Superyacht Awards 2019 under 299GT and Best Interior Design Award 2019 presented by Boat International. The luxury beach house-style graces guests with reclaimed wood, artisanal finishes and sculptural artworks scattered across three decks. It’s a podium worthy design from top to bottom – a veritable interior lover’s haven.

Ascend to the sunny sun deck located aft and lower yourself into the illuminated glass-walled jacuzzi. It’s a joyful experience that delivers night and day, with panoramic views in the morning and sparkling entertainment after sunset. The surrounding deck is furnished with sunpads for lounging, leisure space for entertaining and an al fresco cocktail and dining area for the all-important sundowners.

Sassa La Mare comfortably sleeps eight guests in five cabins – three doubles and two twins, with the option of the twins converting into doubles, and the extra convenience of two deluxe Pullman beds. It’s an adaptable solution for families with children looking to enjoy space and privacy while keeping to a more compact yacht. All in all, more room for rumination.

The gift of Sassa La Mare's design is the easy access and convenient layout it provides, and the fully-equipped gym located just steps from the master suite feeds into that forethought. Rise each morning, drink in the views and head straight for a daily workout. Work up a sweat on the Nordic track SE7i cross trainer, selection of free weights and ZWIFT cycling machine, before cooling off in the inviting clear-blue sea.

As an approved RYA Center offering personal watercraft training, a journey aboard Sassa La Mare means arriving a novice and leaving an expert. Find your thrills on the seabobs, kayaks and paddle boards. Pick up speed on the waterskis and e-bikes. Reach for the air on the towable inflatable before focusing on what lies beneath with the assortment of snorkel gear.

Equipped with stabilisers when at anchor and underway, Sassa La Mare delivers a smooth and stable ride, even at full cruising speed of 12 knots. For greater efficiency, a 9-knot speed will provide a 5500 nautical mile range, making the boat as much of an explorer’s delight as she is an interior designer’s match.
