Skantzoura

With its white marble shores this old monastic island is the perfect place to explore the ruins of its 18th century past. For the bird-watching enthusiasts in your group, try and catch a glimpse of some of the rare species that inhabit the island such as the Audouin's Gull and Eleonora's falcon. Skantzoura is also the perfect location to try your hand at a selection of watersports such as water-skiing, tubes, jet-skiing, fishing or just snorkelling and exploring the small caves that are dotted around its unspoilt coastline.

Alonissos

If you ever wondered how Greek islands were before the tourism boom, when you could commandeer a private beach for the day or enjoy entire tranquillity, then this non-pretentious haven is ideal. Visit the local markets in the old town, selling anything from handcrafted toys to cheese pies, or snorkel the cliffs of Kokkinokastro with the local seals. A true intemperance of Greek culture.

An old pirate hiding spot is now a picturesque fishing village that is popular with tourists, surrounded by cliffs and pine-clad slopes which are bursting with energy and greek culture. You can settle in to one of the many tavernas and bars on the waterfront as you dive into both the local culture and cuisines that are lovingly prepared for you. Slightly beyond the bay is the Agios Petros which houses a stunning church and an equally aesthetically pleasing bay for you to enjoy.

Pelagos

Found north of Allonissos, Pelagos is a sanctuary of rustic history and beautiful fauna. Whether its walking the coast to see the Mediterranean Monk seals or visit the haunted Monastery Bay, visiting Pelagos during your luxury yacht charter in the Sporades Islands is a must. Take a short cruise from Pelagos towards Peristera and feat on fresh fish, grilled meats and an oeuvre of delights prepared by your professional crew.

Peristera

Peristera Island ("Dove" island) is a deserted island which was once home to Saracen pirates in Byzantine times and is now home to only a few shepherds who spend their days tending to their flock. This island – which lies opposite Allonissos – offers a fantastic anchorage in Nicstee bay, and here you can enjoy lunch on its delicious stretch of shimmering sand/enjoy an alfresco lunch as the crystal blue waters lap beneath you Peristera is the perfect place for divers as, starting in summer 2020, you will have the chance to explore one of the oldest shipwrecks in the world, a classical-era shipwreck. For those who aren't able to explore the mysterious and historical depths of Peristera, snorkellling in the various bay is a fantastic alternative or even trying your hand at watersports.

Skiathos

Red-tiled roofs and tall church towers lend Skiathos town an Italianate air. The island capital is built on a magnificent natural harbour, dotted with tree-tufted islands. Better still, Skiathos is blessed with 60 blissful beaches. Several attract naturists, including the aptly named ‘little banana beach’. Indeed, Skiathos's shores are some of the sandiest in the entire Aegean. Forests of pine meet crescents of sand and lapping seas at Koukounaries and Ambelakia. The turquoise water and sea-sculpted rocks at Lalaria have graced many a magazine cover.

Just south of Skiathos lies Koukounaries beach, a bleach-blonde nature reserve playing home to well-situated beach bars, sunbeds and the most turquoise of water. Spend the day swimming or getting to know the extensive tenders and toys collection onboard your yacht. After wearing off the beach blues, crack open the champagne and enjoy a delicious meal by your chef, the perfect way to end your Sporades Yacht charter.

Prepare for disembarkation at either Skiathos or back at Aghios Konstantinos.
