Jamaica Yacht Charter

A Tapestry of Cultural Harmony

What could Y.CO charters show you about Jamaica that you don’t already know? Plenty. One of the largest islands in the Caribbean, there’s a vast and varied coastline to explore. Beyond obvious yacht-spots like Montego Bay and Negril, we’ll whisk you to offshore cays and remote and ravishing beaches. What else? The best diving spots and historic towns that don’t make it onto standard tourist itineraries.

An Island With Unique Rhythm

Your Guide to Jamaica

An Island With Unique Rhythm

Jamaica, birthplace of ska, reggae, and dancehall, pulses with rhythm. In Kingston, towering sound systems vie for dancers' approval. Moor your Y.CO charter at Kingston Marina for insider tips. Discover why a Jamaica yacht charter is a must this winter.

Port Royal

Admit it: there’s definite appeal to a historic town once synonymous with piracy and debauchery. Sitting on a peninsula at the mouth of Kingston Harbour, where the marina will take care of your Y.CO yacht, it’s packed with piratical and colonial heritage, despite the ravages of earthquakes and fire. Associated with brigands such as Blackbeard and Henry Morgan, it retains its 17th-century jail and fort and a proud local community.

Negril for the Resorts

OK, so it’s hardly a secret, but Negril’s beaches, sunset views and unhurried vibe make it a must-visit. Anchor your Y.CO yacht offshore and take a tender to spend a few nights in one of its super-chilled resorts. Or seek out Lucea or Little Bay, largely bypassed by the development that has colonised the western coast. More centrally, walk Seven Mile Beach’s perfect sands or get stuck into Negril’s nightlife.

Rio Grande Valley

River rafting in Jamaica? You bet. Carving a deep gorge from its source in the Blue Mountains, the Rio Grande offers wonderful hiking and rafting, the latter on bamboo craft that are sturdier than they may seem. Not up for some of the more demanding, muddy trails through the valley? Hikes to White Valley – aflutter with giant swallowtail butterflies – or to Scatter Falls and Fox Caves aren’t too taxing.
