Amels is one of the largest luxury yacht builders in Holland and uses its experience in luxury yacht building with its parent company’s research and development to build luxury, state-of-the-art vessels up to 200m long. Limited Editions Range Success

In 1991, Damen Shipyards Group purchased Amels and preserved the brand, as the Amels name had such a strong reputation for quality and great value luxury superyacht building. Amels was still based at Makkum until 2005, when it moved to the Royal Schelde yard in Vlissingen, the largest yacht shipyard in the Netherlands. Two years later, Amels delivered the first yacht in their Limited Editions series, a series that would become exceptionally popular.
